With more than 70 percent of Clear Creek County covered by public lands, your outdoor adventure begins the moment you arrive in our community. In one day it is possible to climb to the summit of a 14,000 mountain, shoot the rapids on Clear Creek, or snowshoe across a pristine valley. If your sense of adventure leans more towards relaxing and taking in the scenic beauty, there are ample opportunities for wildlife and flower viewing, fishing in our clear mountain lakes and streams, or stopping for a picnic along our scenic and historic byways.
